International Architecture Practice | Class 2 Projects | Sydney
We are partnering with a highly regarded international architecture practice to appoint a Senior Project Leader or Associate Architect into their Sydney studio, joining a team known for strong design, solid delivery, and an excellent reputation across Class 2 projects.

With additional work continuing to come through, the studio is now looking for a seasoned Senior Project Leader or Associate Architect who already has experience leading larger-scale projects, and understands how a full project cycle is put together across Class 2 buildings.
This role requires someone who is either already registered, or who is actively looking to become registered, as registration will be required for project sign-off. The company will support the right person through the registration process, providing the guidance and backing needed to achieve this next step.
This role is best suited to someone who has previously led their own projects, can confidently manage teams of approximately 4–10 people, and enjoys being part of a collaborative studio environment where design, delivery, sustainability, and the end user experience are all valued.

In the role as a Senior Project Leader / Associate Architect, here is what we are looking for:
As Senior Project Leader / Associate Architect, we are seeking someone who can take ownership of larger-scale Class 2 projects and confidently lead them through the full project cycle.
You will be responsible for leading your own projects, managing internal teams, coordinating consultants, supporting delivery outcomes, and ensuring the project is moving forward with clarity, structure, and strong communication.
You will need to bring previous experience project leading your own jobs, a strong understanding of Class 2 buildings, and the ability to work closely with senior leaders, clients, consultants, and your wider project team.
This role is suited to someone who is ready to step into a strong project leadership position within an international practice that values good design, solid delivery, sustainability, and a collaborative office culture.
In the role as a Senior Project Leader / Associate Architect, here are your key responsibilities:

Lead larger-scale Class 2 projects through the full project cycle

Take ownership of your own projects across design, documentation, coordination, and delivery

Manage and support teams of approximately 4–10 people, depending on project size and complexity

Coordinate consultants, clients, internal teams, and key project stakeholders

Ensure project information, workflows, documentation, and delivery milestones are well managed

Bring strong project leadership across Class 2 buildings

Support design quality, technical delivery, and the overall user experience

Work closely with senior leadership while continuing to grow and develop your own career

Support project sign-off requirements, with registration support provided where needed

Contribute to a collaborative, diverse, and professional Sydney studio culture

Support a team environment built around good design, strong delivery, and sustainability
In the role as a Senior Project Leader or Associate, we require you to have the following skills & experience:

Minimum 10–15+ years’ experience within architecture

Minimum 10+ years’ experience working in Australia
-
Must be currently living in Sydney

Strong Class 2 project experience is essential

Previous experience project leading your own jobs is essential

Proven ability to manage teams of approximately 4–10 people, depending on project scale

Strong understanding of how a full project cycle is put together across Class 2 buildings

Experience across design, documentation, consultant coordination, and delivery

Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Local Australian architectural practice experience is essential

Architectural registration is highly regarded, or you must be actively working towards registration

Willingness to become registered is required, as this role will support project sign-off responsibilities
