Clinical Health Planner (Architecture)
Global Architecture Practice | Health Projects | Sydney
Shape the future of healthcare design through complex, meaningful projects.
We are seeking a Clinical Health Planner with deep experience in healthcare design and hospital planning, who is ready to take the next step in a career focused on delivering some of the most complex and impactful health projects in the country.
This is an opportunity to work across major hospital redevelopments, new health precincts, and advanced clinical facilities where thoughtful planning directly influences patient care, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes. You’ll be part of a highly regarded practice known for delivering large-scale health and science projects that make a lasting difference to communities.
This role is suited to an experienced health planning professional (approximately 10–15 years’ experience) who has developed strong technical capability and is now looking to broaden their influence. Working alongside leading specialists in the field, you’ll contribute meaningfully to project direction, stakeholder engagement, and the translation of complex clinical requirements into well-resolved spatial solutions. You’ll be confident operating in multidisciplinary environments and motivated to continue growing within a collaborative, high-performing national team.
Most importantly, you’ll join a practice that genuinely values its people, encourages innovation, and supports ongoing professional development—providing a clear pathway for those looking to further establish themselves as recognised specialists in health planning and design.
In the role of Clinical Health Planner, here is what we are looking for you to do:
- Contribute to the planning and development of complex health and science projects.
- Support the preparation of client briefs and coordination with consultants and contractors.
- Apply expertise in AusHFGs, HPUs, and health planning principles to deliver best-practice outcomes.
- Facilitate and contribute to user group consultations, translating operational needs into functional design solutions.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and health consultants to achieve coordinated, high-quality outcomes.
- Support delivery of projects within agreed quality, programme, and budget parameters.
In the role of Clinical Health Planner, we require you to have the following skills and experience:
- You are an experienced architect or designer with a strong passion for healthcare planning and the delivery of people-centred health environments. You are detail-oriented, collaborative, and confident working across complex stakeholder groups.
- Approximately 10–15 years’ post-graduate experience in architecture and/or health planning
- Proven experience working on healthcare projects
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, spatial relationships, and operational efficiency in healthcare environments
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with clients and project teams
- Proficiency in Revit and dRofus
- A proactive, solutions-focused and collaborative approach
In the role of Clinical Health Planner, the following benefits will be afforded to you:
- Flexible working arrangements, including WFH options
- Opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 practice
- Strong mentorship and ongoing professional development
- Supportive leadership and clear career pathways
- Collaborative, positive studio culture
- Stable, well-established team environment
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to get it all! A good work life balance, hybrid and flexible working hours, excellent company growth and continued career pathways with a very well-known company! If this role sounds like you, we encourage you to apply!
