BIM Manager | ArchiCAD | Sydney or Melbourne

Mega Recruitment is working with a successful, award-winning international architectural practice seeking a BIM Manager to join their well-known studio.
This is a design-focused practice with a strong reputation for well-structured systems, clear procedures, and a highly collaborative studio culture. Operating within a mature BIM environment, the practice places strong emphasis on consistency, innovation, and continuous improvement across digital workflows and model standards.
As the BIM Manager, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing BIM processes across the studio, supporting project teams, and driving best practice in digital delivery. You will act as the central point of contact for BIM strategy, standards, and implementation, while also mentoring team members and contributing to the evolution of the practice’s digital capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage BIM standards, protocols, and workflows across the studio
- Provide high-level BIM support and guidance to internal project teams
- Oversee model audits, troubleshooting, and model health across active projects
- Ensure consistency and compliance with BIM documentation standards and templates
- Act as Project Model Manager on key projects where required
- Develop and deliver BIM training, onboarding, and upskilling initiatives
- Mentor and support BIM Coordinators and wider project teams
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on BIM systems, usage, and performance
- Lead participation in global BIM coordination meetings and initiatives
- Manage software updates, implementation of new tools, and platform rollouts
- Drive innovation through pilot projects, testing new workflows, and digital tools
- Maintain and develop internal BIM documentation, standards, and guide notes
- Liaise with IT teams and provide oversight of BIM-related technical support
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a BIM leadership role (BIM Manager or Senior BIM Coordinator level)
- Advanced proficiency in BIM authoring platforms such as ArchiCAD
- Experience within an architectural or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, workflows, and project delivery processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and mentor teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and studio-wide initiatives
- Proactive problem-solving approach with strong technical capability
- Experience leading training, implementation, and process improvement initiatives
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Comfortable working within a multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse environment
