This established firm is renowned for complex interior solutions across government, commercial, and institutional sectors, offering an exceptional opportunity for an experienced interior designer.
We are seeking a versatile interior designer who can take full ownership of interior components across major projects. The ideal candidate will thrive working independently while contributing to multidisciplinary teams on significant defence and infrastructure assignments from conception through to practical completion.
If you're an interior designer with 5-10+ years including substantial large scale experience across commercial, health, defence, aviation, and education sectors, this position provides outstanding professional growth within challenging defence projects.
Essential Requirements:
- 5-10+ years professional interior design experience
- Proven track record on large scale projects (commercial, health, defence, aviation, education)
- Advanced Revit proficiency essential
- Tertiary qualification in Interior Design or Architecture
- Self-directed with strong independent working capability
- Comprehensive experience from design development through construction
- Australian citizenship essential
- Strong understanding of interior construction and detailing
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead interior design development for defence and infrastructure projects
- Produce comprehensive interior documentation across all project stages
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants
- Develop interior specifications, schedules, and material coordination
- Manage interior aspects through construction documentation and administration
- Interface with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with defence protocols and security standards
- Drive interior project delivery and quality assurance
