Mega Recruitment is partnering with a highly regarded international architecture and design practice to appoint an experienced Project Leader or Senior Project Leader to its Sydney studio.
This is a key permanent appointment for a senior architectural professional with proven experience leading complex projects, managing multidisciplinary teams and driving delivery across all stages of a project.
The practice is an established global brand with a strong reputation for innovation, design excellence and the use of advanced technology across its projects and studios. With a growing pipeline of significant work, the business is seeking an accomplished leader who can take ownership of major projects and provide direction to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
As Project Leader or Senior Project Leader, you will be responsible for the successful leadership and delivery of complex architectural projects from early design through to documentation and construction.
You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and senior studio leaders while managing internal project teams, programme requirements, commercial outcomes and design quality.
This role requires someone who is currently leading projects and can demonstrate genuine responsibility for project performance, team management and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Leading complex architectural projects across all stages of delivery
-
Managing project teams, resources, responsibilities and performance
-
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
-
Coordinating architects, designers, consultants and technical specialists
-
Managing project programmes, deliverables, budgets and commercial requirements
-
Providing clear leadership and direction throughout the project lifecycle
-
Overseeing design development, documentation and construction delivery
-
Ensuring project outcomes meet quality, design, technical and contractual standards
-
Identifying project risks and implementing practical solutions
-
Leading consultant and client meetings
-
Managing project reporting, resourcing and workflow
-
Reviewing documentation and maintaining quality-control processes
-
Supporting and mentoring architects and emerging project leaders
-
Contributing to broader studio planning, business development and project strategy
You will be an experienced architectural professional with approximately 10–15+ years of industry experience and a strong track record leading complex projects within Australia.
You must have:

Recent experience leading major architectural projects

A minimum of approximately 10–15+ years of professional experience

Current Sydney or Australian architectural practice experience

Proven local project delivery experience

Strong client-management and stakeholder-engagement capability

Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant teams

Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of project financials

The ability to manage teams, deadlines, resources and competing priorities

Strong technical and construction knowledge

Experience working across all phases of a project

Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills
-
Full working rights in Australia
Registration as an Architect in Australia would be highly regarded.
